Pregnancy planning and care during COVID-19

COVID-19 has changed the way we currently do things.

It is important not to forget about your own reproductive health needs.

Dr Jennifer Anderson, although providing less face to face consultations in order to reduce the risk of infection to her patients, is still providing contraceptive advice, initial fertility assessments, pre-pregnancy planning and early pregnancy care.

Planning for a pregnancy is important, to ensure you and your future child can be as healthy as possible.

It is best done before coming off contraception.

Dr Anderson remains up to date in the latest information on COVID-19 and how it effects pregnancy, on top of her extensive knowledge about how general health effects pregnancy along with genetic screening  investigations available both before and after becoming pregnant.

Most of this consultation can be done initially on a 30 minute Telehealth consultation, which partners are also more than welcome to be present for.

There is a Medicare rebate for these consultations, and usual out of pocket costs are approximately $60, depending upon the length of the consultation.

Dr Anderson can then arrange any investigations that are needed and either a Telehealth or a physical face to face examination appointment as a follow up if required.

Dr Anderson is currently taking Telehealth appointments on Monday and Thursday mornings, and some Friday mornings.

To schedule an appointment, please phone 9650 4284 or book online.

We are here to help and look forward to your call.
