Fees at Midtown Medical Clinic are based on the Australian Medical Association recommended rates.
The below listed fees are a guide only. Charges will vary depending on the length of time you spend with the doctor and the complexity of your medical condition.
Please note that Saturday consultations do attract a higher fee.

* Some doctors are not be vocationally registered. For example, Dr James McLaren, Dr Tanusha Cardoso and Dr Matthew Chamberlain are Sports Doctors working at The Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre who see some of our patients with musculoskeletal injuries. Whilst being highly regarded and experienced Sports Doctors, James, Tanusha and Matthew are not vocationally registered General Practitioners and thus the medicare rebate will be lower if you see them. The rebate for a standard consultation with a non vocationally registered doctor is $21.00, for a long and prolonged consultation, $38.00.
Some nurse consultations may also attract a fee of between $15.00 and $30.00. There is no medicare rebate for nurse consultations.
The cost of procedures varies with the type of procedure and its complexity. Please ensure you enquire about any costs prior to the procedure.
To meet Accreditation Standards, disposable surgical equipment is used at Midtown Medical Clinic. Should any surgical procedure be performed there will be an additional cost for the use of this disposable equipment (approximately $25.00).
The cost of General Practitioner Management Plans, Team Care Arrangements and Mental Health Treatment Plans range in price from $170.00 to $242.00. Please ensure you discuss these costs with the doctor during your consultation.

We ask that all accounts are settled on the day via EFT, Visa Card, Master Card or cash. If you have registered your bank account details with Medicare, the Medicare rebate can be sent straight back to your bank account via Medicare Online. If you have not registered your details with Medicare, do so on their website: www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/online alternatively we can provide you with the paperwork you need to complete in order to access this service.
