* Some doctors may not be vocationally registered. For example, Dr Kathy Yu is a Sports Doctor working at The Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre who sees some of our patients with sporting injuries. Whilst being a highly regarded and experienced Sports Doctor, Dr Kathy Yu is not a vocationally registered General Practitioner and thus the medicare rebate will be lower if you see her. The rebate for a standard consultation with a non vocationally registered doctor is $21.00, for a long and prolonged consultation, $38.00.
The cost of procedures varies with the type of procedure and its complexity. Please ensure you enquire about any costs prior to the procedure.
To meet Accreditation Standards, disposable surgical equipment is used at Midtown Medical Clinic. Should any surgical procedure be performed there will be an additional cost for the use of this disposable equipment (approximately $25.00).
The cost of General Practitioner Management Plans, Team Care Arrangements and Mental Health Treatment Plans range in price from $130.00 to $190.00. Please ensure you discuss these costs with the doctor during your consultation.
We ask that all accounts are settled on the day via EFT, Visa Card, Master Card or cash. If you have registered your bank account details with Medicare, the Medicare rebate can be sent straight back to your bank account via Medicare Online. If you have not registered your details with Medicare, do so on their website: www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/online alternatively we can provide you with the paperwork you need to complete in order to access this service.
If your doctor refers you to another doctor, a specialist, or for any investigative tests please ask about fees and other costs that may arise.
