Con graduated from Monash University in 1992 and became a resident doctor at Dandenong Hospital for two years.  His work there included General Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics and Emergency Medicine.  He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Con has also worked extensively in Sports Medicine Centres since 1994 and was the Medical Officer with the VFA Oakleigh Football Club for two years.

 Con has been the Medical Officer for North Melbourne Football Club in the AFL since 1995.
